Grades K-12
Students are challenged
to build and program an interactive robotic device that will surprise,
delight, and engage the Robotic Park audience. This robotic device
could be built to solve some real world problem or some
future world problem or simply to entertain. The device
should use sensors to trigger its action and should either be interactive
with the audience or controlled by its exhibitors.
As with the Animal Design
Challenge this interactive robot should also be accompanied by a
writing or composition piece appropriate to the robotic project
that is designed and built. It could be a brochure with information
about your invention, a creative writing piece, or an advertising
flyer about your creation. It could be a PowerPoint presentation
and inform others about your animal, your robot or the process you
went through in the creation of your robotic project. It could even
be a video or a multimedia presentation. This brochure, flyer, or
presentation should be part of your Robotics Park display, should
be your best work, and should be made available (for reading or
viewing) to others who are touring the park. Presentations should
be running and written material should be available and handed out
to those interested.
